Recent ActivityClubDiversity is a student led service organization at Lufkin High School. Meetings are held on campus on enrichment schedule. Activities have included Mix-It-Up-At-Lunch, fundraising and walk for Alzheimers Memory Walk, Relay for Life, refreshments served at Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Ceremony at Lufkin Mall, and Valentine flower sales at LHS.

Group Announcements campus Valentine carnation saleClubDiversity members will sell carnations during all 3 lunches in the cafeteria on Valentines day as a fund raiser.
Bully Incident Report form onlineA Bully Incident Reporting link has been added to our school website. It is found at the bottom of the purple column on the LHS Campus site. It contains a form to fill out. Even though there is now a form, it is not the only method to report acts of bulling on our campus or by our students. As always, our councelors, principals and teachers are always a source if you need help. Consider your personal needs and choose what works best for you. No student or staff member should ever hesitate to report a bulling incident, whether directed at others or themselves.

LHS Club Sign up Day.Sign up for ClubDiversity is ongoing. You may do so in W134. Membership is free but members must have a club pass to attend meetings. Club lanyards for your ID are available for $2 each. We will do a "MAKE YOUR OWN" t-shirt activity on Saturday October 1st immediately after the Alzheimers memory walk at Lufkin Middle School. Bring your own shirt to be painted on.
Officer elections were held on the first meeting, consiting of a President and a president of each class. MIX It UP AT LUNCH on OCTOBER 18THMix It Up at Lunch Day will be held on October 18th at LHS. It is designed to raise student awareness about boundaries and divisions within schools, heightens sensitivity toward social justice, and prompts students to interact with people outside their normal social circles.
It's a simple concept: Introduce and or sit with someone new at lunch and it can have a profound impact; social scientists have proven that positive interaction across those lines which devide us reduces prejudice. Welcome Back to SchoolMembership to ClubDiversity is free and available at any time during the year. Passes to meetings will be given out at sign-up time. The meetings will be held on enrichment Tuesdays in the Purple Gym. Become involved in your community and LHS to help make it a better place for everyone.
